History

Since 1974

Ses Rotges has been under the care and management of the Tétard family since 1974. The property is only 200 metres away from the beach of Son Moll and is the perfect oasis right in the middle of the town of Cala Ratjada, in the Northeast of Mallorca. The actual construction is a traditional Mallorcan manor built around the kitchen and the inner courtyard, and was the second home to be built in the town. An ideal place to spend holidays and weekend breaks.

Living history

Ses Rotges was the first restaurant in Mallorca to be awarded a Michelin star, back in 1977. Under the management of Gérard and Laurence Tétard, the venue kept the prestigious recognition until they decided to hand the hotel and restaurant business over to their son William.

Welcome home

Ses Rotges will become your home during your stay. From sunbathing in the solarium to enjoying a glass of wine by the fire served on the traditional wooden trough (where spices used to be mixed with meat to make the sobrasada), or playing the piano or reading a book in the courtyard, under the shade of the trees in the garden. Every space has been designed to ensure you have the perfect holiday.

New management

The hotel today is under the leadership of William, who strives to achieve full client satisfaction and takes care of every detail to make for a perfect stay.

Mediterranean breakfast

The hotel also offers breakfast where, in true family style, the utmost attention is paid to service and the produce served. In fact, the essence of craftsmanship and slow cooking methods is echoed in the establishment’s name: Ses Rotges, a kind of traditional fig from the region with which William, a consummate master jam-maker, turns into exquisite jams for a sweet start to your day.
